Near the intersection of Boys' Home Road and Road 150 in Glenn Springs, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, there is an Old Stone Church originally built by the Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church congregation using volunteer and local labor in 1908. From that time until 1961, the church served as a focal point of religious activity within the community. In 1961, the Presbyterian Church decided to build a new sanctuary, and to decommission the old sanctuary. Since that time, the sanctuary has fallen into neglect and disrepair. The sanctuary is currently located on property owned by the Glenn Springs Academy, formerly known as the Spartanburg Boys' Home. Our current project is to restore the Old Stone Church to its former splendor.
